This months festival was a tremendous success. Friday's harinam was well attended in spite of the fact that many were out of town. Several college students attended from the programs that the 26 Second Avenue brahmacaris conduct. Saturday's festival in Union Square Park was also well attended; the weather was great; and many people were stopping to take books. We all look forward to your participation in the next festival. Sunday was even better. Devotees set up a booth at on Madison Avenue near 25th Street. The street was closed to accommodate the Indian Independence Day street fair. There were about 7-10 devotees running a separate prasadam booth. We stayed at the fair from 12-6pm and sold an incredible number of books. In the parade down Madison Avenue from 42nd Street to 26th Street, about ten devotees rode on Romapada Swamis flatbed truck that you might recall leads the Rathayatra. The truck has a canopy and sound system. Many in the parade were enchanted by the bhajans and kirtan and joined in with the chanting.
